First Post
Oh, the anxieties of the first time. You want it to be special. You want it to be right. You want to make an entrance, to set the tone, to start as you mean to continue, as if your first words will be more significant than those that follow, as significant as those you utter with your dying breath, or the last twitch of your thumbs, or in my case, fingers. A grand statement. For posterity.
Well, forget it. I’m not going to be precious here. Life is a work-in-progress. I want to keep working and progressing. That’s all.
Let this first post be a simple gesture, not a grand statement. The opening of the door, perhaps.
“Hi, hello. Come on in.”
